Salary Range: $85,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
Travel: Up to 50%
Shift: Day
Supervisor: Chief Program Officer

Highlights

As the Director of Recreation at Keshet, you will provide strategic leadership, growth, and operational oversight of all recreation and camp programs. You will lead program staff in the coordination and administration of high‑quality and inclusive programming and oversee community partnerships, serving as a primary community ambassador for Keshet’s recreational and camping initiatives.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Program Leadership & Management
    • Plan the delivery of the overall program and its activities in accordance with the mission and the goals of Keshet.
    • Develop new initiatives to support the strategic direction of the organization.
    • Develop and implement long‑term goals and objectives to achieve successful outcomes of the programs.
    • Work with CFO to develop an annual budget and operating plan to support the program.
    • Develop a program evaluation framework to assess strengths and identify areas for improvement.
    • Ensure growth and sustainability for camp and recreation programming.
  • Organize the Program
    • Ensure that program activities operate within the policies and procedures of the organization.
    • Ensure that program activities comply with all relevant legislation, accreditations (NIP), and professional standards.
    • Develop goals and metrics to determine program success and sustainability.
  • Lead the Program
    • Ensure all staff members receive orientation and appropriate training in accordance with organizational standards.
    • Supervise program staff by providing direction, input, and feedback.
    • Communicate with team members and other stakeholders to gain community support for the program and solicit input for improvement.
    • Liaise with other Program Directors to ensure effective and efficient program delivery.
    • Coordinate the delivery of services among different program activities to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years professional experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Previous Director experience.
  • Undergraduate degree required in a related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of special recreational programming.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent public speaking skills.
  • Adherence to Keshet policies and procedures outlined in the policy manual, Employee Handbook, and other employee policies.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean criminal and motor vehicle record that meets company standards.
  • Passion, humility, integrity, positive attitude, mission‑driven, and ability to self‑direct.
  • Program development experience.
  • Fiscal planning experience.
