Job description

PROGRAM SUPPORT SPECIALIST SUPERVISOR
Rock Valley Community Programs offers transitional and supportive housing, along with addiction and mental health treatment services, to adults in the Rock County area. Services are provided to homeless male veterans, individuals involved in the criminal justice system, and community members seeking outpatient support for addiction and/or mental health needs.
Position:
The Program Support Specialists Supervisor serves an important leadership role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring program compliance, and providing guidance and support to staff. In collaboration with the Quality Assurance Manager and Program Directors, this position helps foster a professional, safe, and supportive environment for both clients and team members, serving approximately 125 residents affiliated with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, Federal Bureau of Prisons, and U.S. Probation.
Shift: 7am-7pm rotating schedule. Example: 2, 2, 3 type of schedule; on-call rotation required
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise Program Support Specialists (PSS) and ensure 24/7 staffing coverage
  • Administer urinalysis and breathalyzer (UA/BA) testing
  • Respond to crises and execute emergency protocols
  • Respond to incidents and serve in the on-call rotation
  • Maintain recordkeeping (daily logs, check in and checkouts)
  • Facilitate intake processes and client orientations
  • Lead staff training, coaching, and performance evaluations
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Criminal Justice or Human Services preferred
  • Strong judgment, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations
  • Working knowledge of computers, or willingness to learn
  • Must be able to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and clean driving record
  • Must complete TB test, and drug screening (on-site).
  • Completion of CPR, First Aid, CBRF Fire Safety, and Choking training within 90 days
  • Employment is contingent upon passing a state and federal background check.
