Job description

Reports to: Efficiency Programs Manager

Job Summary: This position is responsible for coordinating and administering HBPW's efficiency rebates and income-qualified assistance programs.

Essential Duties

  • Coordinate the workflow and records associated with HBPW's Efficiency and Assistance programs.
  • Assist customers and trade allies in understanding how to participate in the programs and complete rebate and assistance applications.
  • Interview customers to establish their household's income to ensure eligibility for Assistance programs
  • Manage and resolve customer complaints and questions
  • Maintain, update, and add entries to program databases accurately.
  • Process applications, rebates, and incentive checks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Coordinate mailings and distributing materials as needed.
  • Coordinate event logistics for trade ally, customers, and community events.
  • Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with teammates and other HBPW staff to meet customer needs.
  • Develop, document, and recommend office procedures and systems to streamline workflow.
  • Perform all other tasks as assigned.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Computer skills to effectively utilize records management software, word processing, database, and spreadsheet software applications.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in many team situations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; with customers, the community, and all levels of HBPW staff.
  • Organized and able to prioritize workload.
  • Ability to be flexible to handle a wide variety of tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Business, Environmental Science, Social Work, or other related field; or equivalent education and experience.
  • Familiarity with the electric utility industry and environmental sustainability principles.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge along with database management experience
  • Effective workplace skills as demonstrated through WorkKeys assessments (Workplace Documents - 4, Applied Math - 3, Graphic Literacy - 3).

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Normal office environment with minimum discomfort due to noise, dirt and dust.
  • Ability to work off hours on occasion due to scheduled work events.
  • Mental ability to frequently handle pressures related to working on multiple projects requiring prioritization and attention to detail.
