Job description

Resolve Harmony Center is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dependable Activity Assistant to help create a positive and engaging environment for our residents. The Activity Assistant will assist in planning, organizing, and leading recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities that promote residents' physical, emotional, and social well-being.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with seniors, is patient and creative, and is committed to providing exceptional resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and implementing daily recreational and therapeutic activities.
  • Encourage resident participation in group and individual activities.
  • Escort residents to and from activity programs as needed.
  • Set up and clean activity areas before and after events.
  • Assist with holiday celebrations, special events, outings, and community programs.
  • Develop positive and professional relationships with residents, families, and team members.
  • Document resident participation and report concerns or changes to the Activities Director.
  • Maintain activity supplies and equipment in an organized manner.
  • Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, and infection control guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Active Fingerprint Clearance Card (Required)
  • Previous experience in activities, recreation, healthcare, senior care, or customer service is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic personality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills are a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist residents during activities.
  • Must successfully complete all required background checks and pre-employment screening.
  • Experience working in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, assisted living, or long-term care setting.
  • Valid BLS or CPR Certification.
