Job Title: Youth Programs Coach
Reports to: Programs Manager
Location: Alta Climbing and Fitness - Scottsdale
Alta is looking for an experienced, positive Youth Programs Coach to come and join our Youth Programs Team! This is a part time position. The ideal candidate is passionate in what they do and can provide Youth Programs support while working for a fast-growing company. At Alta we are down to earth, fun, family oriented people who Always Live The Adventure, and want to help others live it too!
What You'll Do:
  • Coach and when necessary Lead youth climbing programs for participants ages 5-17, supporting athletes across basic, recreational, developmental skill levels.
  • Deliver and when necessary plan engaging, age-appropriate climbing lessons that emphasize skill progression, movement fundamentals, and safe climbing practices.
  • Provide individualized feedback and encouragement to help climbers build confidence, resilience, and goal-setting habits.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive environment by enforcing facility rules, and risk management procedures.
  • When needed assist with seasonal camps, special events, and community programs, including setup, instruction, supervision, and participant engagement.
  • Collaborate with program staff to track athlete progress, communicate with families, and support program growth and retention.

Requirements
Your Time Commitment:
  • A minimum of two 2hr shifts per week
  • Attend quarterly staff meetings.

Employee Conduct:

The Youth Programs Coach is a "safety sensitive" position and requires the employee to be drug free. Pre-employment drug tests will be performed for all employees. Violations will result in non-compensated suspension or dismissal.
