Job description

Calgary Communities Against Sexual Abuse (CCASA) is the primary sexual violence service provider for Calgary and surrounding areas. We are looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing and well-organized individual with good communication skills to be part of our dynamic organization. This intermediate level position will provide reception to agency clients and other visitors; administrative support to Management and our Programs, particularly the Volunteer Program, to assist with effective and efficient operations, and general office administration. This is a full-time position that may involve some occasional work in the evenings and weekends to assist with program needs so a flexible schedule is necessary.

This is a full-time (35 hours/week) in office position, reporting to the Director of Finance, IT and Administration.If you have a great attitude and possess an anti-oppressive/feminist analysis of sexual violence, this may be the job for you.

Responsibilities of the Reception, Office and Programs Assistant includes work in the following areas (Including but not limited to):


Reception:

Ability to multitask in a busy environment; greet and assist clients, visitors, and vendors; manage mail and parking access; liaise with building management.


General Organizational Administration:

Support staff and management with administrative tasks (form creation, spreadsheets, MS Office, Adobe, filing); maintain cleanliness and safety of common spaces.


Program Support:

Assist Volunteer Coordinator with scheduling and logistics; support training activities (room setup, online training organization); help with office furniture moving; support impact reporting and data tracking.


Material Development:

Prepare and update communication materials and brochures; ensure brand consistency; manage production of materials.


Communications:

Assist with internal and external communications, including booth and event support and committee participation.


Information Technology (IT) and Equipment Support:

Provide IT support and troubleshooting for all staff; assist with equipment setup and management.

The successful applicant will have the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in business administration or communications.
  • Minimum five years of administrative experience (preferably in non-profit/charitable sector).
  • Communication and social media management experience is an asset.
  • Anti-oppressive philosophy and understanding of sexual violence and systemic discrimination.
  • Commitment to equality and diversity.
  • Knowledge of IT in an office setting.

Starting salary range is $52,500 to $57,500 (salary will be commensurate with education and experience).
