About the Role

We are looking for an energetic, team-oriented individual with excellent relationship management skills to join our School Breakfast Program team. Reporting to the Program Manager, you will provide support and resources to assigned schools. You will be working as part of a team of Community Development Coordinators and will work collaboratively on the development of program resources and administrative processes to ensure that program objectives are met.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work with school principals and on-site coordinators (program monitors, school staff and volunteers) to ensure smooth delivery of programs within assigned schools.
  • Implement new programs in schools as required.
  • Collect and analyze program data.
  • Coordinate school equipment purchase process for identified schools.
  • Coordinate the delivery of training sessions for schools and their staff.
  • Conduct program evaluations and annual program surveys.
  • Provide support to ensure food safety standards and Student Nutrition Guidelines are met.
  • Maintain relationships with key partners.
  • Serve as a representative and advocate for ONFE and its programs.


Required Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of the Ottawa education system and ancillary services.
  • Adaptable and proactive in supporting change and innovation.
  • Strong ability to collaborate and maintain positive partnerships partners
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Computer aptitude and proficiency, including knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and project management tools.

  • Demonstrated organization and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices would be an asset.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Social Sciences, Nutrition, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in community development, social sciences, nutrition, education, health promotion, or a related field, including experience with program coordination or management
  • Satisfactory Police Record Check in alignment with ONFE's Conditions of Employment Policy.
  • Driver's license, and access to a reliable motor vehicle with insurance coverage that has no policy restrictions for work related driving.
  • Fluency in English and French (oral and written) and fluency in other languages.

Coordonnatrice ou coordonnateur bilingue, Developpement communautaire

Nous sommes a la recherche d'une personne dynamique, ayant l'esprit d'equipe et d'excellentes competences en gestion des relations, pour joindre les rangs de l'equipe responsable du Programme des petits dejeuners en milieu scolaire. Sous la responsabilite du gestionnaire du programme, vous offrirez un soutien et des ressources aux ecoles qui vous seront attribuees. Vous travaillerez au sein d'une equipe de coordonnateurs du developpement communautaire et collaborerez a l'elaboration des ressources et des processus administratifs du programme afin de garantir la realisation des objectifs de celui-ci.

Principales responsabilites

  • Travailler avec les directeurs et les coordinateurs qui sont chaque jour sur place (moniteurs du programme, personnel scolaire et benevoles) pour veiller au bon deroulement du programme dans les ecoles concernees.
  • Mettre en place de nouveaux programmes dans les ecoles, selon les besoins.
  • Recueillir et analyser regulierement les donnees du programme.
  • Contribuer a l'achat d'equipement scolaire.
  • Participer a l'organisation de seances de formation pour les ecoles et leur personnel.
  • Realiser des evaluations et des enquetes annuelles.
  • Apporter votre soutien pour veiller au respect des normes de salubrite alimentaire et des lignes directrices sur la nutrition des eleves.
  • Entretenir des relations avec les partenaires cles.
  • Representer et defendre le ROPE et ses programmes.

Competences et experience obligatoires

  • Connaissance du systeme d'education d'Ottawa et des services auxiliaires.

  • Grande aptitude a collaborer et a entretenir des relations constructives avec les parties prenantes.
