Payload Engineer/Mission Planner
Aurora, CO
This job posting will remain active on an ongoing basis.
ICR has immediate opportunities available for experienced and motivated Payload Engineers/Mission Planners. This position
develops mission activities to address prioritized collection tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications
• Active Top Secret Security Clearance with SSBI and SCI access.-- US Citizenship required
• A Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 6 years of relevant experience or no degree with 8 years of relevant experience.
• Exceptional analytical skills and problem solving skills.
• Willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
• Good organization, decision making, and verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform tasks on a team with supervision and guidance.
Required Job Functions
• Build optimal, payload-specific mission activities (to include payload configurations based on received collection tasks and priority guidance messages.
• Plan mission activities in support of current CONOPS and SOPs.
• Plan use of available sensors and payloads for on-line or off-line collection operations, special projects, contingency planning, calibrations, and anomaly resolution actions, as directed by the customer.
• Plan SIGINT Cross-Aperture Overhead, non-traditional and non-SIGINT related collection tasks.
• Coordinate resource allocations with the Government Lead when developing mission activities.
• Incorporate feedback from relevant stakeholders into planning of mission activities to ensure collection requirements are met.
• Change mission activities, defined as the lowest level of collection guidance provided in the daily mission plan, as directed by authorized Government personnel.
• Collaborate with the overhead enterprise and prepare cross-mission activities to support timeline development.
• Document and deliver receiver on/off periods, biases, and other orbital parameters in mission activity products.
• Generate functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, resource allocation and utilization analysis, collection requirements allocation and interface definition studies to plan collection tasks.
• Develop and maintain job aids to plan mission activities.
• Build automated strategies for implementation into Mission Management functions.
• Ensure user intelligence needs are clearly articulated and flow through the automated strategy approval process in a timely manner.
• Serve as the community of interest moderator for automated strategies to ensure active participation, engagement, and efficient process flow.
• Participate as a member of the ABO community of interest to aid in the formulation of new automated strategies.
• Provide validation and lineage of all aspects of an automated strategy to an end customer.
• Support strategic planning for collection against specific targets and conduct collaboration accordingly.
Salary: $90,000 - $180,000 (based on experience)
