Social Media & Community Manager
Templar Media is looking for a Social Media & Community Manager to help grow and engage our audiences across our studio brand and upcoming game Gate Zero. This is a full time, on site, hands-on, multi-disciplinary role that blends social media, community management, content creation, and light marketing coordination.
You'll help shape how our studio shows up online; building awareness, growing our community, supporting backers, and turning development updates into engaging stories across platforms.
What You'll Do
Social Media & Content Growth
  • Manage and grow social media channels and follower count with consistent posting
  • Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across platforms
  • Monitor channels daily and engage with comments and community interactions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date social media profiles
  • Repurpose dev updates and newsletters into social content
  • Set and monitor progress for social media channels growth goals

Community Management (Discord & Backers)
  • Manage and grow an active Discord community
  • Support and evolve existing community strategy
  • Coordinate and support volunteer moderators/community helpers
  • Engage with Kickstarter and Indiegogo backers
  • Manage backer communications (emails and inbox support)
  • Help coordinate delivery of backer rewards (credits, in-game items, digital rewards, etc.)

Newsletters & Communications
  • Write and send monthly dev logs / newsletters
  • Translate development progress into clear, engaging updates for the community
  • Maintain consistent communication with backers and supporters

Studio & Website Content
  • Keep website content accurate and up to date

Events & Additional Support

  • Monitor and support Google Ad Grants campaigns as needed

Content Creation
  • Create and edit video content for social media as well as utilize software and tools that can generate and share short form video content and clips from longer form content.
  • Support light creative production (graphics, clips, promotional content)
  • Work with external creators and partners when needed

About You:
  • Experience in social media management, community management, content creation, or a combination of all three
  • Strong communication skills and comfort writing for public-facing channels
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple ongoing priorities
  • Comfortable engaging with online communities (including Discord)
  • Self-directed, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-moving environment

Nice to Have:
  • Interest in or familiarity with faith-based storytelling or Christian audiences
  • Personally enjoy and play video games
  • Experience in gaming communities or indie game development
  • Basic video editing or content production skills
  • Experience working with volunteers or community moderators
