Our Internship Experience:

Our Real Estate Management Internship is a 10-week paid internship in which the student will rotate through all aspects of Property Management at an assigned community, including Leasing, Assistant Manager, Manager, Maintenance, Operations, and Corporate (for select locations). Interns will be mentored by a senior leader at Red Tail Residential LLC and many will have the opportunity to work hands on with our leadership team on assigned, real-world special projects.
Job Summary and Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the assigned intern Mentor, the intern will help our residents find their way, find their home through the Internship Program. The program will allow each participant to work side by side with our team of professionals to create a thriving and captivating living experience for renters across the nation. Our dynamic portfolio is growing quickly as we provide investors with ethical investment opportunities on our mission to improve communities through renovation projects. We are currently seeking interns with an entrepreneurial spirit and a can-do attitude to work with our management teams nationwide. The Leasing Intern provides administrative and operational support to the onsite team while gaining exposure to both the customer-facing and behind-the-scenes aspects of property management. This full-time internship is designed to offer hands-on experience across leasing, operations, and resident services, giving insight into the day-to-day functions that drive a successful community.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide administrative support to the leasing and management team.
  • Assist with data entry, file management, and maintaining accurate resident and leasing records.
  • Support the preparation of leasing documents and move-in/move-out paperwork.
  • Help manage unit availability updates and internal tracking systems.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating move-in calendars.
  • Respond to general inquiries via phone and email, directing requests as appropriate.
  • Support resident communication efforts and service request tracking.
  • Participate in property tours and leasing activities as needed for exposure and learning.
  • Assist with market research and competitor analysis projects.
  • Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional administrative or operational duties as assigned.

Special Requirements

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.
  • Must be able to work at a computer and use a phone for extended periods.

Attendance & Schedule

  • Full-time schedule required for the duration of the internship (05/26 โ€“ 07/31).
  • Consistent attendance and reliability are essential.
  • Some flexibility in hours, including occasional weekends, may be required.

Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year accredited program, Real Estate, Hospitality or Property Management preferred.
  • Sophomore year completed by start of Internship, preferred.

Professional Experience

  • Previous administrative, customer service, or office experience preferred but not required

Computer Skills

  • Basic to intermediate computer proficiency
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred

Learning & Development

  • Gain exposure to both front-end leasing and behind-the-scenes property operations
  • Develop administrative, organizational, and professional workplace skills
