Job description

Help students succeed while building your skills in education, customer service, and center operations.

Huntington Learning Center is looking for a Learning Center Coordinator & Tutor to join our team. This is an ideal opportunity for an organized, energetic professional who enjoys working with children and families and wants a role where their work makes a meaningful difference.

You'll play an important part in creating an exceptional experience for our students and families while helping keep the center running smoothly. Your responsibilities will include student support, tutoring, family communication, scheduling, teacher support, and day-to-day center operations.

What You'll Do:
Student & Family Experience:
  • Welcome students and families and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Communicate with families by phone, email, and text.
  • Monitor students' progress and overall experience at the center.
  • Help create a positive, encouraging learning environment.

Academic Support:
  • Tutor students one-on-one across multiple grade levels and subject areas.
  • Administer academic evaluations for new students.
  • Support students in building academic skills, confidence, and motivation.
  • Assist teachers and help onboard and train new instructors.

Center Operations:
  • Coordinate daily and weekly student and teacher schedules.
  • Manage calendars, appointments, Zoom meetings, and other administrative tasks.
  • Process payments, invoices, and payroll tracking.
  • Keep the center organized and running efficiently.
  • Support marketing and community outreach efforts.

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.
  • At least one year of tutoring, teaching, or comparable experience working directly with students required.
  • Education, administrative, customer service, or related experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of responsibilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Zoom, and similar technology.
  • Most importantly, you genuinely enjoy working with children and helping them learn and grow.

Schedule:
Part-time — up to 20 hours per week
Availability needed between:
  • Monday–Thursday: 2:00–8:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
We offer a flexible schedule within these hours.
