• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and screenings to identify patient needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Provide individual counseling, focusing on short-term therapeutic interventions and crisis management to assist patients facing various emotional and psychological challenges.
• Facilitate therapy groups that address essential topics such as coping strategies, stress reduction, and personal development to foster a sense of community among participants.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including medical teams and support staff, to deliver comprehensive care and recommend referrals when appropriate.

• Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in the state of California.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is mandatory; a Master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Strong understanding of mental health issues commonly faced by hospital patients, combined with a firm grasp of evidence-based practices.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effectively engaging with a diverse clientele and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• A proven ability to manage multiple caseloads effectively while thriving in a fast-paced environment.

• Prior experience working in a hospital or community health setting focusing on mental health is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with therapy methodologies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and other brief therapeutic approaches suitable for varied patient needs.
• Experience collaborating with healthcare professionals and engaging in multidisciplinary team discussions.
