Are you a compassionate and dedicated Medical Assistant looking to make a difference in the lives of others? Partnership Community Health Center is seeking a talented individual to join our team in providing high-quality healthcare services to the Appleton community. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our providers and helping our patients achieve optimal health outcomes. This position is 40 hours per week and benefits eligible.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant or achieve Assessment-Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE) within 2 years
  • Maintain BLS certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with direct patient care procedures and related tasks as part of the patient care team; room patients, obtain patient histories, take vital signs, review and update required documentation.
  • Perform procedures including, but not limited to: phlebotomy, nasal and throat swabs, vaccinations, in-house laboratory testing, wound care and dressing changes under provider direction or per established policies and protocols.
  • Advise patients on specified medical issues as directed by a provider. Schedule follow up appointments and manage provider schedules.
  • Monitor patient appointments. Assist with office functions and participate in quality improvement and other compliance activities.
  • Pend and place orders according to current standing orders in medical chart as directed for laboratory, medications and referrals. Review Health Maintenance in medical chart.
  • Clean and maintain supplies in exam rooms and other clinical areas; monitor refrigerators and equipment as assigned.
  • Practice safety, environmental and/or infection control methods.
  • Assist with training and orienting new clinical employees, students and volunteers.
  • If bilingual, assist with translation as indicated.
  • Provide care vouchers for patients as indicated.
  • May participate in clinical outreach activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
