ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the coordination of community-based and service-learning opportunities.

• Collaborate with faculty integrating experiential learning and community engagement into academic coursework.

• Assistwithmaintainingand strengthening relationships with community partners and external organizations.

• Support communication and outreach efforts related to CCEEL programming and initiatives.

• Assistwith tracking participation, student engagement, outcomes, and program impact data.

• Contribute to assessment, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts.

• Assistwith planning and implementation of programs, workshops, trainings, andspecial eventsconnected to CCEEL initiatives.

• Helpmaintainprogram records, resource materials, and documentation.

• Support student engagement efforts andprovide assistance tostudentsparticipatingin experiential learning opportunities.

• Participate in departmental meetings, student success initiatives, and related activities as assigned.

• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling student and university information.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

General supervision isprovided by theAssociate Provost for Academic Affairs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.

• Currently admitted to a graduate program at SVSU or eligible and intending to apply upon accepting the offer. Graduate programs qualifying for this position include the Master of Public Administration (MPA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), or other related graduate programs approved by Academic Affairs.

• Good academic standing.

• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational communication skills.

• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.

• Interest in community engagement, experiential learning, higher education, nonprofit work, student development, or civic engagement initiatives.

• Ability to effectively interact with students, faculty, staff, and community partners from diverse backgrounds.

• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.

• Proficiencyin Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Ability tomaintainprofessionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.

• Experience and ability to positively interact with all members of the campus community.

• Ability tomaintainconfidentiality and professionalism.

• Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or withoutaccommodations.

PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience with community engagement, service-learning, volunteer coordination, student leadership, or event planning.

• Experience working in higher education, nonprofit organizations, or community-based programs.

• Familiarity with program assessment, student engagement tracking, or outreach initiatives.

• Experiencefacilitatingworkshops,trainings, or student engagement activities.

• Strong presentation, outreach, and relationship-building skills.

TUITION ELIGIBILITY& TAX IMPLICATIONS:

Graduate Assistantships include a tuition and fee waiver of up to12 credit hours per semester(maximum 30 per academic year), funded by the SVSU central budget.

Full-time enrollment (9 credits or more) isrequiredin the Fall and Winter semesters, with minimal exceptions available.Less than full-time enrollment is allowed in the final semester for completion or for programs that do not offer full-time enrollment

All tuition/fee waivers will be reportable as taxable income per IRS regulations. Employees should consult a tax advisor for guidance.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Duties aregenerally performedinside and not exposed to adverse conditions.

• All work associated with this role must be performed within the state of Michigan.

• This position is an on-campus position anddoesn'tqualify for remote work
