Job Description Summary
This position supports LFCE's outreach, partnership development, and recruitment pipeline efforts in coordination with Enrollment Management and Admissions. The role does not independently manage admissions processes, enrollment strategy, applicant decision-making, financial aid packaging, or university-level recruitment campaigns. The Outreach and Community Engagement Coordinator strengthens LFCE's TK-12 educator, counselor, and leadership preparation pipelines through partnership development, community engagement, fieldwork and internship expansion, and coordinated outreach activities. The position supports LFCE's efforts to build awareness of academic and credential pathways among school districts, community colleges, paraprofessionals, career changers, and community partners, while collaborating with Enrollment Management, Admissions, and LFCE academic programs to ensure alignment with university recruitment and enrollment processes. The role focuses on relationship-building, pipeline cultivation, partnership coordination, and outreach support, and does not independently manage admissions, enrollment strategy, applicant review, or enrollment conversion activities.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field. Related experience may be substituted for required education on a basis set forth by the Department of Human Resources. 5 years.
  • 5+ years in partnership development, community engagement, or education workforce development.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills with TK-12 administrators, faculty, and education-focused organizations.
  • Experience working with TK-12 school districts, higher education institutions, or workforce development programs.

Specific Duties
Strategic Engagement & Partnership Development:
  • Develop and implement a strategic outreach and engagement plan focused on sustainable TK-12, community college, district, and workforce partnerships that support LFCE's educator, counselor, and leadership preparation pipelines.
  • Support intentional pathway-building into LFCE credential, degree, and professional preparation programs by cultivating relationships with high schools, community colleges, school districts, county offices, professional organizations, and community partners.
  • Coordinate with Enrollment Management, Admissions, and LFCE academic programs to ensure outreach activities, recruitment messaging, and prospective student referrals are aligned with university enrollment practices.
  • Strengthen CTC-aligned credentialing partnerships by coordinating with district and site supervisors to expand student teaching, fieldwork, internship, and workforce development opportunities.
  • Develop district partnership models, including cohort-based opportunities for paraprofessionals and other educator pipeline groups, in collaboration with appropriate university offices.
  • Represent LFCE at education summits, district meetings, community events, and statewide conferences to increase awareness of LFCE programs, partnerships, and workforce pathways.

Program Development & Community Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with LFCE academic programs, internal teams, and the college advisory board to develop and support initiatives that strengthen educator, counselor, and leadership preparation pipelines.
  • Work with TK-12 districts, community colleges, higher education institutions, and partner organizations to develop career-connected learning experiences, internship and apprenticeship opportunities, and skill-based programs.
  • Monitor and evaluate partnership activities to assess their contribution to LFCE's mission, strategic priorities, workforce development goals, and program visibility.
  • Partner with school counseling and related programs to expand fieldwork and service-learning opportunities with local school districts and community organizations.
  • Develop partnerships that support equitable access to bilingual education, special education, counseling, leadership, and teacher preparation pathways.
Percentage Of Time 30% Specific Duties
Community Outreach & Recruitment Support:
  • Support LFCE outreach and engagement events, including Collaborative events, leadership series, district partnership meetings, community college events, and P-12/community partner convenings.
  • Develop or coordinate messaging, presentations, and outreach materials that communicate LFCE programs, partnerships, and workforce pathways to prospective students, paraprofessionals, career changers, community college students, district partners, and underserved communities.
  • Conduct targeted community engagement and outreach activities, under the supervision of the Associate Dean and in coordination with Enrollment Management and Admissions when activities involve prospective student recruitment.
  • Serve as an LFCE representative at approved outreach and partnership events, providing information about LFCE programs and connecting prospective students or partners to the appropriate admissions, advising, or academic program contacts.
  • Track outreach contacts, partnership activity, referrals, and engagement outcomes using approved university systems and share relevant information with Enrollment Management, Admissions, and LFCE leadership as appropriate.
