Responsible for thoroughly examining and grading donated goods to sell in Goodwill of North Georgia Retail stores. Process goods in an accelerated manner to meet production goals in a fast-paced environment while adhering to standard operating procedures.

Essential Functions:

β€’ Always display a professional, patient, and β€œpeople first” attitude with guests

β€’ Provide a donation receipt to each guest at the time of donating

β€’ Adequately handle guest questions and resolve problems by following agency and departmental standard operating procedures

β€’ Properly sort donations into designated categories

β€’ Effectively communicate with management when necessary

β€’ Consistently perform work tasks according to training playbooks, e-learning and work instructions

β€’ Evaluate and navigate decisions effectively

β€’ Effectively promote and demonstrate cooperation and teamwork with peers

β€’ Maintain a neat, clean and organized donor door area/attended donation center(ADC) location

β€’ Adhere to safety and security practices including reporting safety hazards and injuries to management

β€’ Assist truck drivers with loading/unloading donations

β€’ Attend and complete all required trainings and meetings

β€’ Perform other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

β€’ High School Diploma or GED preferred

β€’ One year or more (1+ years) of production experienced preferred

β€’ Consistently foster a healthy team culture of exceptional guest experience

β€’ Must have basic math and reading skills

β€’ Must have good oral and written communication skills in English as well as interpersonal skills

β€’ Must be 18 years or older to become certified and licensed to operate a forklift (individuals age 16 to 17 will not be allowed to operate forklifts, balers or compactors)

Working Environment Conditions/Requirements:

β€’ Must start employment in acceptable safety work shoes

β€’ Must be able to work in all types of conditions including heat, cold and dust

β€’ Must be able to meet all physical requirements to perform the duties of the position including the ability to bend, reach, grasp, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time as well as the ability to push, pull and lift up to 30lbs with or without accommodation
