President & Chief Executive OfficerMorgantown Area PartnershipMorgantown, West Virginia

The Morgantown Area Partnership is seeking an accomplished, collaborative executive to serve as its next President & Chief Executive Officer and lead efforts that advance economic, business and community development throughout Morgantown and Monongalia County.

Reporting to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors, the President & CEO will serve as the Partnership's chief executive and public representative, bringing together business, government, education and community leaders around a unified vision for the region's continued growth and prosperity. This leader will guide strategic planning, investor development, workforce initiatives, public policy engagement, community development, organizational operations and stakeholder relations.

The ideal candidate is a strategic and results-driven leader with substantial experience in economic development, chamber leadership, regional development, workforce development, higher education partnerships or a related field.

Key Qualifications
  • Experience collaborating with public and private sector leaders
  • Demonstrated success recruiting business investment and supporting job creation
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal governmental processes
  • Proven Board governance experience
  • Experience leading teams and managing organizational finances
  • Strong investor relations and fundraising capabilities
Credentials
  • Bachelor's Degree, Master's degree preferred
  • OR CEcD, CCE, IOM or comparable professional certifications
