Job description

Athens Chick-fil-A Catering Internship

Athens Chick-fil-A is looking for candidates from the University of Georgia to join our Catering Internship Program. The position is a paid internship taking place over the course of one semester with the possibility to extend. Chick-fil-A Catering of Athens provides a catering experience unlike any other! This program allows students to receive hands-on experience in operating a catering business that serves the top clients of Athens, such as UGA Athletics and the Classic Center.

Overview

Report directly to Director of Catering

Assist Catering Team with execution of remarkable catering experiences

Challenging experiential learning opportunity

Social and networking opportunities

Work a minimum of 15 hours per week

Duration: One semester with the possibility to extend

Internship Dates: August 2024 - December 2024

Potential for course credit

Location: Beechwood Chick-fil-A

Candidate Requirements

Actively working to complete an undergraduate degree

Able to work 15-25 hr/week, primarily between 7 AM - 5 PM

Undergraduate students 2nd year and above preferred

Responsibilities

Catering Operations

Serve as the Lead Catering Delivery Driver and ensure proper order execution and 2nd Mile Service

Provide support with off-site catering events

o UGA Athletics, Classic Center, and UGA Football home game events

Assist with preparation of dry goods for catering orders

Learn and perform administrative catering tasks

Restaurant Operations

Support and engage with Team Members by working Front of House operations

Professional Development

Access to professional development opportunities from Director of Development

Routine meetings and professional development with Director of Interns

Intern Project

Gain project management skills through completing a semester-long project

Project will be based on the needs of the business and area of interest of the intern
