A national law firm with a highly regarded affordable housing and community development practice is seeking an Associate Attorney for its Washington, DC office.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience handling real estate transactions, along with a demonstrated interest in affordable housing, community development, and work that supports meaningful neighborhood and economic development initiatives.
This role will involve working on sophisticated transactional matters, including real estate development, finance, regulatory analysis, and complex real estate transactions. Candidates with experience in affordable housing, multifamily development, LIHTC, HUD-related matters, public housing, public-private partnerships, or community development finance will be especially strong fits.
Ideal background:
  • 2+ years of real estate transactional experience
  • Strong interest in affordable housing and community development
  • Experience with complex real estate transactions
  • Regulatory analysis experience preferred
  • Strong drafting, analytical, organizational, and client-facing skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
