Overview
We are seeking a Business Development Coordinator to join our team in Orlando, FL.
Develops and implements local marketing, sales, and public relations activities to maintain and expand the firm's participation in business opportunities at a local level, focusing on their specific group company responsibility but also working across group companies to advance the firm in the local marketplace; establishes a local presence and a positive company image within the assigned communities where the firm operates or wishes to establish its services; creates business opportunities that ultimately result in meeting the established sales targets for the assigned area of responsibility.
We are seeking a high-energy, motivated, and results-driven Business Development Coordinator to accelerate our market growth. In this mid-level role, you will take ownership of the top of our sales funnel. You will leverage proprietary data insights to uncover opportunities, execute aggressive outbound campaigns, and present compelling product demonstrations. The ideal candidate blends a hungry, self-motivated sales mindset with the ability to quickly master technical concepts in asset management or GIS.
Your role
  • Data-Driven Lead Generation: Analyze and utilize specific internal data sets to strategically identify, segment, and prioritize high-value target accounts.
  • Aggressive Outbound Prospecting: Execute high-volume cold calling, targeted emailing, and modern outreach strategies to turn cold leads into qualified opportunities.
  • Product Demonstrations: Learn the enterprise asset management platform inside and out to deliver engaging, high-impact technical software demos to prospective clients.
  • Conference & Event Networking: Travel to key industry conferences and trade shows to represent the product, command networking environments, and organically build the sales pipeline.
  • Relationship Management: Build, nurture, and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.
  • CRM Pipeline Discipline: Diligently track all lead interactions, updates, and pipeline metrics within Microsoft Dynamics CRM to ensure structured follow-up.
  • Complexity (Variety or uniqueness of tasks; relative difficulty or importance of work performed; size of unit supported, etc.): Requires a self-motivated mindset and the ability to quickly master technical concepts in asset management and GIS to coordinate sales activities for a commercial software product. Must be able to independently analyze data and draw insights to uncover opportunities and execute outbound communications to prospective clients.
  • Decision-making (Supervision received; independent judgment or initiative; consequence of error): Works under the guidance of the Senior Business Development Director and is expected to exercise independent judgment and initiative in performing daily duties.
  • Work direction given to others (Titles and number of personnel; type of direction given): May coordinate work of other members of the business development team depending on the nature of duties assigned by the director or business leadership.
  • Internal contacts (Required interaction/relationship with others within the organization): Interfaces with technical managers, product leaders, implementation teams, technical support, business development resources, proposal teams, and administrative staff as necessary.
  • External contacts (Required interaction/relationship with others outside the organization): Represent the organization in technical discussions with prospective clients, partners, subconsultants, user groups, and conference or webinar audiences.

About you
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related major, plus 3-5 years directly related experience.
  • A background or foundational understanding of asset management, geographic information systems (GIS), or professional B2B sales.
  • Sales Experience: 3 to 5 years of successful sales or business development experience, ideally within SaaS, asset management, or GIS industries.
  • CRM Literacy: Practical experience managing pipelines and logging sales activity within an enterprise CRM system.
  • Outbound Execution: Proven track record of success in high-rejection, high-volume cold calling and proactive lead generation environments.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to quickly learn, understand, and confidently demonstrate complex technical software workflows.
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness and flexibility to travel frequently (~25%) across the United States for conferences, events, and client meetings.
  • Communication & Personality: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a charismatic, resilient, and highly collaborative personality.
