Boundary Co-op is hiring a Part-Time Home Centre Clerkย at our Home Centre in Deloraine, Manitoba.

What you'll do:

Reporting to the Department Manager, the Home Centre Clerk will be responsible for supporting day-to-day operations across Hardware, Liquor, and Gas Bar/C-Store departments, including the cardlock system. Key responsibilities include:ย 

  • Demonstrate behaviours that align with the Co-op's vision, mission, values, and commitment to safety.ย 

  • Deliver world-class customer service by greeting customers, handling inquiries, preparing orders, and resolving issues promptly.ย 

  • Operate POS systems and computerized cash registers to process transactions accurately and take payments.ย 

  • Run fuel pumps and manage propane services, including assisting customers with cardlock access.ย 

  • Assist with stocking inventory, pricing, and merchandising across all departments, ensuring displays meet company standards.ย 

  • Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards in sales areas, storage spaces, and outdoor pump zones.ย 

  • Ensure compliance with liquor laws, fuel handling regulations, and safety protocols, maintaining Smart Choices, WHMIS, and propane training certifications.ย 

  • Other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Customer Service and have:

  • A Grade 12 education or a combination of relevant experience.ย 

  • Previous retail experience; hardware or fuel knowledge is an asset.ย 

  • Ability to operate computerized cash registers accurately.ย 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.ย 

  • Flexibility to work varied shifts and adapt to changing priorities.ย 

  • Comfortable working in varying conditions, including outdoor environments at pumps, propane stations, and cardlock areas.ย 

  • Action-oriented, customer-focused, and committed to delivering exceptional service.ย 

  • Honest, trustworthy, and results-driven, with a strong focus on safety and compliance.ย 

  • A collaborative mindset, valuing teamwork and diverse perspectives to achieve shared goals.
