About This Role

The Center Director sets the tone for a safe, healthy, and stimulating educational environment for every child under their care. Responsible for overseeing daily operations, curriculum development, staff management, and regulatory compliance, the Director ensures that the center meets its goals and the needs of its students.


What You'll Do
  • Set the quality standard for the center and ensure adherence to state and local requirements, measuring effectiveness along the way.
  • Collaborate with staff to develop a comprehensive curriculum that meets state and local regulations, and implement engaging learning activities that foster positive outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records in accordance with established enrollment procedures and guidelines.
  • Communicate with parents and the community through regular newsletters, parent handbooks, and community outreach activities.
  • Approve menu options and manage food purchases.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with regulatory agencies and ensure compliance with all laws and financial regulations.
  • Oversee all office functions, including payroll, accounts payable, and receivable, tuition billing and payment, and human resources.
  • Address conflicts and take corrective action when necessary to maintain a positive environment for all.
  • Develop and manage the center's budget and financial plans.
  • Establish emergency procedures, train staff, and ensure their readiness in case of an emergency.
  • Implement the center's strategic plan and goals, staying true to its mission and values.
  • Develop and maintain a personal professional development plan to stay current and improve quality.

Requirements
  • Must have at least 5 years of direct professional experience in an early childhood setting.
  • Should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in early childhood education or a related field with a minimum of 30 credits in ECE.
  • High energy level and strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Strong technology skills and ability to work well with others are necessary.
  • Strong understanding of child development is a must.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification is necessary.
  • Must clear full background check.
  • Must pass health screening.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Strong finance and budgeting skills are a plus.
