Job description

Community Banking Manager

Location: Frederick, MD

Lead With Purpose as a Community Banking Manager

Are you a community-minded banking leader ready to take ownership of a highly visible branch, inspire a high-performing team, and make an impact where it matters most? ACNB Bank is seeking a Community Banking Manager for Downtown Frederick — a relationship-driven leader who combines operational excellence with a passion for developing people and serving customers.

At ACNB Bank, you’ll lead a team that reflects our values: personalized service, local decision-making, and a shared commitment to strengthening the communities we serve.

This is more than a branch management role—it’s a leadership opportunity to shape outcomes, build meaningful relationships, and advance your career with a growing, trusted community bank.

What Sets You up for Success

  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive retail or community banking experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibility.
  • Locality:   Familiarity with the downtown Frederick market.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams to reach performance goals and deliver superior customer experiences.
  • Sales & Service Acumen: Skilled in identifying customer needs, promoting financial solutions, and fostering a culture of relationship-based selling.
  • Operational Expertise: Strong understanding of compliance, risk management, and branch operations.
  • Technical Skills: Comfortable using Microsoft Office and core banking systems; embraces digital tools to enhance efficiency and customer engagement.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Physical Requirements: Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs. of currency/coin as needed.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Inspire: Coach, mentor, and develop your Community Banking team to deliver exceptional service and achieve sales, deposit, and lending goals.
  • Drive Results: Lead by example as a player-coach—setting goals, tracking performance, and ensuring your office meets and exceeds business objectives.
  • Engage the Community: Represent ACNB Bank at local events and organizations, strengthening the bank’s presence and cultivating long-term relationships.
  • Champion Service Excellence: Resolve customer concerns efficiently and ensure each interaction reflects our standard of Service Excellence.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage branch operations including vault balancing, compliance, and risk controls with precision and integrity.
  • Collaborate for Growth: Partner with internal business lines such as Wealth Management, Treasury Management, Mortgage Lending, and Commercial Lending to deliver comprehensive financial solutions.

Why Join ACNB Bank?

  • Lead Locally, Impact Broadly: Be part of an organization that values relationships over transactions and invests in the success of its people and communities.
  • Growth & Recognition: Your leadership directly shapes your branch’s success—and is recognized and rewarded accordingly.
  • Empowered Environment: Make decisions at the local level with the support of a collaborative, experienced management team.
  • Community Connection: Work for a bank that takes pride in being more than a financial institution—we’re a trusted neighbor and partner.
  • Comprehensive Compensation & Benefits Package: This position typically pays around $70,000 annual, but may be higher based on previous experience.  It also includes health, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) with employer match, generous paid time off and holidays, career growth and training opportunities—all within a supportive, relationship-focused team environment.

Ready to lead a team that reflects your values and ambition? At ACNB Bank, we believe leadership is personal—grounded in relationships, driven by performance, and powered by purpose.
