As the Communications & Public Relations Manager, you will play an important role in supporting the development and execution of KDA’s communications strategy, with a strong focus on business communications, including dealer and channel communications, corporate messaging, product communications, public relations, and social media. This role is responsible for creating and managing content for internal and external audiences, supporting communications to dealers and other key stakeholders, managing agency and media relationships, and helping strengthen KDA’s visibility and reputation in the market.

Communications and Public Relations

·       Develop and implement communications and public relations strategies that support business priorities and organizational goals.

·       Create, edit and manage communications materials including press releases, media pitches, talking points, Q&A documents, newsletters, executive messaging, product announcements and related collateral.

·       Partner with internal stakeholders across marketing, sales, HR and executive leadership to develop communication plans for launches, announcements, events and other key initiatives.

·       Manage relationships with PR agencies, media contacts, influencers, analysts and other external partners to help drive positive visibility for the organization.

·       Identify and pursue media opportunities, story placements, speaking opportunities and thought leadership initiatives at local, national and industry levels.

·       Prepare detailed media activity reports and regularly assess the performance of PR and communications efforts.

·       Support media inquiries and help coordinate timely, accurate and professional responses to communication-related issues.

·       Represent the organization at events, trade shows, media briefings and press opportunities as needed.

·       Monitor news, industry developments and competitor communications to identify risks, trends and opportunities.

·       Collaborate with other marketing teams to ensure alignment of communication strategies and messaging across initiatives.

·       Support crisis communications and sensitive issue management, as needed, in partnership with leadership and key stakeholders.

Social Media

·       Act as the primary subject matter expert to direct Marketing Agency activities on social media platforms.

·       Develop and implement a social media strategy and action plan, coordinating with departments across the Company to ensure its effectiveness and encourage adoption of social media as a communications channel.

·       Create content for the social media program, leveraging platforms such as LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, X and others to maximize end-user, dealer and industry communications.

·       Monitor, report and analyze social media performance, present findings internally and evolve strategy accordingly.

·       Manage Kyocera’s presence across social networking sites, relevant blogs and social applications as needed.

·       Serve as an advocate for the Company on social media, engaging in discussions and answering questions when appropriate.

·       Monitor relevant social media tools, trends and applications.


Required:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

·       Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, social media or a related field.

·       Proven experience writing and editing a wide range of communications materials.

·       Experience working with PR agencies, media outreach and public relations programs.

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

·       Strong oral and written communication skills in English.

·       Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

·       Ability to work independently on established objectives with limited supervision.

·       Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including leadership.

Preferred:

·       Bilingual Spanish (written) is a plus

·       Visual Design and Brand experience is a plus

·       Experience in a business-to-business, technology driven company

The typical pay range for this role is $81,000 -$122,000. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. This position may include a discretionary bonus based on performance.
