Job description

Job Title: Athletics Communications Student Employee

Job Classification: Marketing and Communications, Student

Department: Athletics Communications

Hiring Manager: Max Calderone

Contact: Max_Calderone@baylor.edu

Work Schedule: Min. 2 hrs per week in office; flexible variety of shifts at home athletics events available; no more than 20 hours per week

Desired Length of Employment: Ongoing (2026-2027 school year)

Pay Rate: $7.25 - $10.00

Key Components:

  • In a student employee capacity, may perform or assist with functions around marketing trends, communications outreach, creative design, and production (print and digital)
     

Job Description:

The purpose of this job is to assist the communications efforts for Baylor Athletics, including but not limited to: social media, game notes, recap stories, stats distribution and research, media hospitality, and more. Compliance with all NCAA and Baylor Athletics policies is required; some knowledge or experience working in media is preferred; must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.00; be available to work nights and weekends.
