Reports To: Production Supervisor

Job Status: Full Time

Job Overview

The Mail Prep Clerk is responsible for sorting and preparing mail for distribution. This role involves ensuring accuracy in document preparation and adhering to established guidelines for mail handling. The position requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Document Verification: Ensure that the documents assigned match those being prepared.
  • Document Preparation: Follow established guidelines to prepare documents for distribution.
  • Package Handling: Open and sort packages, complete document preparation for each customer, and move on to the next task.
  • Workflow Distribution: Organize and distribute workload based on document type/application.
  • Data Entry: Perform data entry tasks as required.
  • Work Order Recording: Accurately record work order entries after preparing each batch of documents.
  • Document Knowledge: Gain and apply knowledge of various document types through training.
  • Package Lifting: Lift packages weighing between 5-40 pounds.
  • Sitting and Repetitive Movements: Able to sit for extended periods and engage in repetitive hand and arm movements.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
