Job Description

The individual will be responsible for all internal communication within the Bakery, ensuring that the internal communications and engagement strategies are aligned with business objectives and fostering a two-way between management and employees.ย 

The vision is to create employee engagement through our change initiatives with transparent communications, change management tools and employee inclusion. These activities will shape what employees believe about the company, will be designed to encourage positive behavior changes and foster positive emotion about the company as a great place to work.ย 

Key Responsibilities:ย 

  • Orchestrate and coordinate all the plant communication (newsletters, monitors, videos, regular meetings, etc.)
  • Meet with managers to get their input and then write the communication
  • Create communications team of hourly and salaried employees
  • In collaboration with internal communications and media relations (CGA), ensure that the Bakery's messages and communications are consistent and timely for all key audiences
  • Implement appropriate metrics to evaluate the success and impact of communicationย 
Qualifications
  • Requires successful track record of experience in the communication fieldย 
  • Requires the ability to manage and influence teams to drive engagement and communications to deliver best-in-class results
  • Understanding of internal communications practices, including two way channels and pull and push methods of communication
  • Strong project management skillsย 
  • Must have strong understanding of persuasion models and message construction
  • Must be adept at speech writing, intranet content writing and collateral writingย 
  • Must be able to translate business objectives to a basic language all associates can understandย 
  • Must be able to manage budgets (managing external vendors)
  • Must be able to manage project teamsย 
  • Experience working within Manufacturing, warehousing or distribution preferredย 
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in internal communications and project management type rolesย 
  • Bachelor's Degreeย 
  • Must be able to communicate using PowerPoint graphs, charts (KPIs mainly)
  • Ability to pull out business information from data/charts
  • Experience in Change Management communications and/or communications to gain employee engagement
  • Prefer experience in working in multi-cultural environment
