The Communications & PR Marketing Intern supports our marketing and communications team. This role offers hands-on experience in public relations, corporate communications, and brand storytelling. The intern will assist with media outreach, content development, and internal/external communications efforts while gaining exposure to strategic messaging and reputation management.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting press releases, media pitches, and public-facing communications
- Support media outreach efforts, including building and maintaining media lists
- Monitor media coverage and compile regular press and sentiment reports
- Help develop content for blogs, newsletters, social media, and company announcements
- Support internal communications, including employee updates and leadership messaging
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and media opportunities
- Assist in planning and executing PR campaigns, events, and announcements
- Ensure brand voice and messaging consistency across all communications
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication channels
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience writing for a school publication, blog, or internship
- Basic understanding of media relations and PR strategies
- Familiarity with media monitoring tools or databases
- Experience with content management systems or email marketing platforms
