Job Overview

Marquee Brands is seeking a Corporate Communications Manager to support and advance the company's global communications strategy across corporate, executive and portfolio channels. Reporting to the Director, PR & Corporate Communications, this role will support the strategy and day-to-day execution of external and internal communications, from media relations and executive positioning to acquisitions, strategic partnerships, portfolio milestones and industry recognition.


The ideal candidate is a seasoned communications professional with a strong command of the media landscape, exceptional writing skills and the organizational agility to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously. This person thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, brings sharp editorial judgment to everything they produce and knows how to move quickly without sacrificing quality. As a member of the Corporate Communications team, this role will collaborate closely with executive leadership and teams across Marquee Brands' Home & Culinary, Fashion & Lifestyle, Luxury and Active & Outdoor platforms.

Responsibilities

Corporate Media Relations and Reputation

  • Develop and execute communications plans supporting company priorities, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, market expansions, executive news and portfolio milestones
  • Proactively identify and pursue business, trade and industry media opportunities across print, digital, broadcast and emerging platforms
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors and producers covering business, fashion, luxury, retail, licensing, home and consumer goods
  • Manage day-to-day media inquiries and coordinate clear, timely and on-message responses
  • Draft corporate statements, Q&As and reactive messaging, partnering with leadership, Legal and other stakeholders on sensitive or reputation-related matters
  • Monitor media coverage, industry developments and emerging issues to identify storytelling opportunities, reputational considerations and broader communications trends
  • Track and analyze communications performance, translating results into actionable insights and executive-ready recaps


Executive Communications and Thought Leadership

  • Support executive visibility programs, including media interviews, speaking engagements, conferences, panels and other industry opportunities
  • Draft and refine executive talking points, briefing materials, speeches, presentations, op-eds and bylined content
  • Prepare executives for media interviews and external appearances, ensuring alignment with company messaging and business priorities
  • Support executive thought leadership and LinkedIn content through editorial planning, content development and timely industry commentary
  • Evaluate incoming speaking and visibility opportunities based on audience, relevance and alignment with company priorities


Content and Channel Management

  • Develop high-quality communications materials, including press releases, media pitches, corporate statements, FAQs, website copy, newsletters and company updates
  • Manage and evolve Marquee Brands' corporate LinkedIn presence, including content planning, drafting, publishing and performance tracking
  • Maintain the Corporate Communications editorial calendar, ensuring a consistent cadence and coordinated approach across company announcements, executive moments and portfolio news
  • Support monthly portfolio newsletters, executive summaries and select company-wide communications
  • Manage corporate and portfolio awards programs, including identifying opportunities, developing submissions, tracking results and amplifying recognition internally and externally
  • Maintain core corporate messaging, biographies, fact sheets, presentations and other communications resources


Cross-functional and Portfolio Collaboration

  • Work closely with executive leadership, Business Development, Brand and Marketing teams to support company priorities and announcements
  • Translate complex business developments into clear narratives for media, employees, partners and other stakeholders
  • Help maintain consistency across corporate, executive and portfolio messaging while adapting communications for different audiences and channels
  • Coordinate with external agencies, media-monitoring partners and other communications vendors as needed
  • Manage multiple communications projects, timelines and approval processes with strong attention to detail

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations or a related field, gained in-house, at an agency or through a combination of both
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English or a related field, or equivalent profession experience
  • Proven track record of developing and executing high-impact communications strategies that support a range of business objectives
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills with strong editorial judgment across formats: releases, pitches, executive materials and digital content
  • Established media relationships across business, trade and lifestyle press; experience with fashion, consumer goods or licensing industry outlets a strong plus
  • Experience working within or alongside a multi-brand, licensed or portfolio business preferred; agency background welcome
  • Deep familiarity with LinkedIn as a corporate and executive communications channel
  • Proficiency with media monitoring and analytics tools
  • Experience in luxury, fashion, consumer goods or corporate agency settings strongly preferred
