We are seeking candidates interested in part-time or full-time paid internship opportunities starting in January 2027 in either Rochester or Ithaca, NY.
The purpose of our internship program is to provide students the opportunity to fulfill tasks set out by various teams to gain valuable experience and insight into the everyday environment of a public accounting firm.The internship is a hands-on experience which will prepare you for a transition into your career.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Training on and becoming proficient in our software (CaseWare and CCH Axcess).
โ€ข Preparing 1099s, W-2s, Individual income tax returns, and extensions using a highly technical paperless computer system.
โ€ข Gaining a basic understanding of how tax work flows through the office.
โ€ข Improving basic organization and planning skills.
Requirements
Requirements:
Accounting students who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and in their sophomore through senior year or enrolled in a graduate accounting degree program are eligible for this position. Students must be returning to school to be eligible. Strong verbal and written communication skills along with strong organizational skills are required. Functional knowledge of the MS Office Suite including Word and Excel is required. The ideal candidate must be able to meet deadlines, be proactive, and have solid multi-tasking skills and strong analytical ability.
