Job description

Position Overview:
  • The Communications Associate is responsible for supporting the internal and external communications strategies for the firm
  • Work closely with the executive management team to make sure that top-down communications flow smoothly and resonate with employees of all functions, levels and locations
  • Collaborate with the various stakeholders in the Investment, Technology and Corporate teams to strengthen connectivity and awareness across the organization
  • Create and distribute communications tailored for specific audiences including various firm newsletters, organizational announcements, and updates on firm initiatives
  • Measure the success of communication campaigns, and adapt the strategy based on data and feedback
  • Work closely with Investor Relations to create marketing decks and investor relations materials
  • Develop and maintain content on the internal and external-facing Squarepoint website

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with a strong academic record
  • 2+ years of experience in a communications role, with a focus on internal communications, content strategy, and writing/presentation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working closely with investment professionals and technologists and ability to quickly grasp financial and technical concepts and convey them in writing to a variety of audiences
  • Highly developed organization and project management skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Entrepreneurial approach to working with other teams and comfortable in a self starter environment
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

The minimum base salary for this role is $100,000 if located in New York. This expectation is based on available information at the time of posting. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, which could constitute a significant portion of total compensation. This role may also be eligible for benefits, such as health, dental, and other wellness plans, as well as 401(k) contributions. Successful candidates' compensation and benefits will be determined in consideration of various factors.
