Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients in person or via telephone; provide information and answer basic questions
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments
  • Verify patient insurance information and manage patient check-ins and check-outs
  • Collect and process patient payments and co-pays
  • Maintain and update patient records in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and managing correspondence
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and communication
  • Assist with patient referrals and authorizations as needed
  • Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Fluency in English, Spanish or Portuguese
  • Ability and willingness to work at least one Saturday each month
  • Proficiency in basic medical terminology
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
