Medical Assistant โ€“ Pain Management

About Us

We are a busy, patient-focused pain management practice committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care. Our team works closely together in a fast-paced but supportive environment where reliability, organization, and professionalism are essential. We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant who is comfortable working directly with patients and assisting providers during both clinic visits and procedures.

Position Summary

The Medical Assistant will support providers with patient care, clinical documentation, and procedure preparation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to keep pace in a high-volume specialty practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Room patients and document vitals, medication history, and required clinical information
  • Prepare patients for procedures and obtain consents
  • Assist providers during office procedures as needed
  • Review urine drug screen results and update patient charts
  • Process labs, imaging requests, and pharmacy communications
  • Assist with prior authorizations and prescription coordination
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and procedure visits
  • Maintain exam rooms, procedure rooms, and clinical supplies
  • Ensure charts and documentation are complete for patient visits
  • Communicate clearly with patients regarding instructions and follow-up care

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience in a specialty or pain management practice (preferred)
  • Comfortable assisting with procedures and high patient volume
  • Familiarity with EMR systems (eClinicalWorks preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Professional communication and patient interaction skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
