Key Responsibilities for the Hotel Engineer or Hotel Maintenance include:
Maintenance and Repairs
  • Oversee routine maintenance and emergency repairs for hotel equipment, systems, and infrastructure (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and elevators).
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment.
Facility Operations
  • Ensure all hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, are in excellent condition.
  • Maintain compliance with brand standards for property upkeep and appearance.
Safety and Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including fire safety and building codes.
  • Perform regular safety inspections and maintain records of certifications and inspections.
Collaboration with Other Departments
  • Work closely with housekeeping, front desk, and food amp; beverage teams to address maintenance needs promptly and support guest satisfaction.
Documentation and Reporting
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance schedules and repairs
  • Report regularly to the General Manager on maintenance activities, issues, and improvements.

What We are Looking for in a Hotel Engineer or Maintenance includes:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Exceptional ability to manage time effectively and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent skills for engaging with guests and collaborating with team members seamlessly.
