Licensed Electrician
Wooster, Ohio
E&H Hardware Group is seeking a skilled and dependable Licensed Electrician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a professional who takes pride in quality workmanship, values customer service, and wants to contribute to a trusted local company. As a Licensed Electrician, you'll perform installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems - while working independently and alongside a supportive team.
This is a hands-on role requiring technical expertise, safety awareness, and a commitment to getting the job done right the first time.
What you'll do:
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment in homes and businesses
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, recommending and implementing effective solutions
  • Ensure all work meets or exceeds local and national electrical codes and safety standards
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Provide exceptional service to customers, building trust and long-term relationships
  • Accurately estimate time, labor, and materials required for projects
  • Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized; maintain tools and equipment
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely project completion
  • Document work completed, materials used, and any relevant notes for records
  • Inspect completed work to confirm quality and code compliance

Safety responsibilities:
  • Follow all company and OSHA safety policies, including PPE usage and safe tool operation
  • Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment
  • Identify and report unsafe working conditions or equipment issues
  • Use ladders, scaffolding, and lifting techniques safely

Equipment used:
  • Hand and power tools
  • Circuit testers and multimeters
  • Conduit benders, wire strippers, and crimping tools
  • Ladders, scaffolding, and light service vehicles

Work environment and physical demands:
  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching
  • Lifting and carrying tools or materials up to 50 lbs
  • Indoor and outdoor work in various weather and environmental conditions
  • Willingness to complete training or certifications that may involve overnight travel

Minimum requirements:
  • Valid Ohio Electrician License (required)
  • Valid Ohio Driver's License (required)
  • Must meet company insurance standards for operating vehicles
  • 6+ years of experience in residential and commercial electrical work
  • In-depth knowledge of the NEC and applicable safety regulations
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
  • Proficiency with common electrician tools and technology
