  • Lead and manage tax projects, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.
  • Analyze client data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams, articulating complex tax concepts clearly and confidently.
  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering growth and technical development.
  • Stay informed on current tax issues and agricultural industry trends to provide proactive advice.

What Youโ€™ll Need for This Position

Education & Experience

  • Bachelorโ€™s or masterโ€™s degree in accounting or related field.
  • 2+ years of public accounting experience.
  • CPA eligibility/license preferred.

Technical Expertise

  • Strong background in tax compliance across multiple entity types.
  • Experience in tax return preparation and review; project leadership preferred.

Core Competencies

  • Digital fluency, including ability to learn and navigate CCH Axcess Tax.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify patterns and issues.
  • Excellent communication skills for client and team interactions.

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 20% annually).
  • Desire to work in a progressive, innovation-driven environment.

Whatโ€™s In It For You

  • Flexible work environment: hybrid options available in Lenexa, Wichita, Salina, or Indianapolis
  • A people-centered culture, with fun included among our core firm values
  • A robust training and development program designed to help you discover your distinct abilities and use them to grow yourself and the firm
  • Freedom to explore your areas of interest

Pinion offers a competitive compensation and excellent benefits package, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, 401k/profit-sharing, paid time off and holidays, flexible work arrangements, and paid parental leave.

Compensation: In some states and municipalities, Pinion is required by law to include a reasonable estimate for range of compensation. When making compensation decisions, Pinion takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications/licenses, and geographic location. The wide range for this role reasonably accounts for these factors. Specific compensation decisions are made based on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000 - $96,000.

EEO: Pinion is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other characteristic protected by law.
