The Role
The Global Supply Chain team is integral to enabling Entegris' global supply chain and business growth objectives-while meeting the requirements of some of the world's most demanding semiconductor customers.
We are seeking a Commodity Manager - Chemicals & Gases to own strategic sourcing and supplier initiatives that support Entegris' business needs. Reporting to the Manager, Direct Category Management, you will lead sourcing strategy for a global portfolio spanning chemicals as well as bulk and cylinder gases-driving supply assurance, cost and risk optimization, supplier performance, and cross-functional alignment with product development and operations. This is a lead individual contributor role (no direct reports) that requires a procurement professional with a minimum of 6 years of experience in strategic sourcing or commodity/category management, with demonstrated ability to lead complex, global initiatives and influence at senior levels.
You'll be successful in this role by combining strong commodity/category management fundamentals with the ability to influence technical stakeholders across Entegris and at suppliers, building high-performing partnerships that deliver cost reduction, supply continuity, and continuous improvement.
This role is based in our Aurora, Illinois facility and is hybrid (3 days per week onsite).
What You'll Do:
  • Own and execute global sourcing strategy for chemicals, industrial bulk gases, and cylinder gases to improve supply assurance, quality, risk management, and total cost of ownership.

  • Lead supplier selection and qualification decisions using data-driven evaluation of capability, capacity, cost, and risk.

  • Execute and manage long term gas supply models (bulk gases and cylinder gases, including continuity planning, distribution/logistics considerations, and supplier operational interfaces.

  • Drive value creation initiatives, including cost savings, should-cost analysis, and commercial improvements.

  • Build strong relationships with supplier technical teams to understand roadmaps and align capabilities to Entegris requirements.

  • Partner with product development and manufacturing to enable new product introductions and organic growth.

  • Negotiate and manage supplier agreements (pricing, terms, and performance expectations) for critical suppliers.

  • Lead supplier performance management through business reviews, metrics, corrective actions, and continuous improvement projects.

  • Provide market and supplier intelligence (availability, financial health, technology trends) to guide sourcing recommendations.

  • Lead complex, cross-functional and multi-site initiatives with minimal guidance-setting project governance, driving decisions, and delivering on scope, schedule, and stakeholder alignment.

  • Provide functional leadership within the category by mentoring peers, sharing best practices, and driving standard work-without direct people management responsibility.

  • Ability to travel, both domestic and international, as needed to support job scope.

What We Seek:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from an accredited university

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or commodity/category management (equivalent experience).

  • Experience in Category or Commodity Management; chemicals and/or industrial gases experience preferred.

  • Semiconductor industry experience preferred (or other high-tech manufacturing experience).

  • Demonstrated ability to set category strategy, lead executive-ready recommendations, and influence senior stakeholders across technical, operations, quality, EHS, and finance organizations.

  • Comfort operating with ambiguity and autonomy-able to translate business objectives into category roadmaps, workplans, and measurable outcomes.

  • An astute capability to recognize the needs and motivations of individuals, and the capability to develop and nurture a wide array of internal and external relationships.

  • The capability to quickly understand complex engagements, identify creative business solutions, and drive successful interactions with outside partners.

  • A dedicated technology inclination for learning, collaborating, and continuous improvement.

  • Demonstrated negotiating skills, effective communication capabilities, and the ability to persuade suppliers to efficiently support the long term, profitable growth of Entegris.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while effectively prioritizing, making prompt decisions, and delivering results.
