Job description

Our client is seeking a Merchandiser to manage regional grain and feed ingredient merchandising. This position will oversee trading and logistics for their territory, analyze commodity market valuations, and balance physical positions to fulfill feed manufacturer and producer needs.


Responsibilities


  • Execute localized ingredient sales and physical commodity trading to satisfy buyer demands
  • Collaborate with commercial leadership to design seasonal marketing strategies for targeted commodities
  • Identify emerging procurement channels and negotiate terms with raw material suppliers
  • Monitor risk exposure regarding organizational inventory holdings and fluctuating market spreads
  • Oversee contract lifecycle tracking to guarantee prompt truck, rail, and barge delivery
  • Partner with facility operational teams to minimize demurrage expenses and shrink loss
  • Leverage secondary reseller networks to optimize supply placement and facility asset valuation
  • Enforce corporate credit compliance guidelines during transactional execution and customer onboarding
