Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Sourcing Manager, Electrical. This position may be based in Dallas, TX; Fontana, CA; Richmond, VA or Columbia, SC;.
Reporting to the US Electrical Sourcing Lead, the Sourcing Manager, Electrical will support the development and execution of regional and global sourcing strategies across a portfolio of electrical categories for Flex Critical Power. The role will partner with Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Finance, Supplier Quality, global category leaders, and site Procurement teams to improve cost, supplier performance, capacity, supply continuity, and commercial outcomes. The initial category portfolio will be determined based on business priorities, spend, supplier risk, sourcing maturity, and organizational needs.
What a typical day looks like:
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned electrical categories across U.S. Critical Power sites.
  • Analyze spend, demand forecasts, supplier performance, cost drivers, capacity, lead times, and market conditions to identify sourcing opportunities.
  • Lead supplier RFIs, RFQs, commercial evaluations, negotiations, sourcing recommendations, and contract development.
  • Build relationships with suppliers to improve cost, quality, delivery, responsiveness, capacity, and service.
  • Develop and manage cost-reduction, cost-avoidance, payment-term, and supply-risk initiatives aligned with annual business targets.
  • Partner with Engineering and Product Management on specification alignment, supplier qualification, alternate-source development, standardization, and design-to-cost opportunities.
  • Support supplier segmentation, performance scorecards, QBRs, corrective-action plans, and long-term supplier development.
  • Coordinate with global category leaders to align regional execution with global sourcing strategies and commercial frameworks.
  • Support customer bids, new-product introductions, and growth programs with supplier capability, cost, lead-time, capacity, and risk information.
  • Provide site Procurement teams with clear supplier, pricing, allocation, and implementation guidance so sourcing strategies are executed consistently.
  • Work with Finance and internal stakeholders to validate savings, maintain project pipelines, and report progress against sourcing commitments.
  • Develop knowledge of Critical Power products, manufacturing processes, and supplier capabilities through visits to Flex and supplier locations.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of strategic sourcing, category management, procurement, or supplier-management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience sourcing electrical, electromechanical, or technically engineered components.
  • Experience in an engineered-to-order, project-based, switchgear, power-distribution, data-center, industrial-electrical, or adjacent manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
  • Proven expertise in category strategy, supplier development, cost management, and contract negotiation, including complex supply agreements.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable cost reductions, supplier-performance improvements, and supply-risk mitigation.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations, including supplier quality, new-product introduction, planning, logistics, procurement execution, and contract management.
  • Experience working across multiple manufacturing sites, business units, ERP systems, or acquired companies is preferred.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including spend analysis, cost modeling, supplier benchmarking, and savings tracking.
  • Advanced communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and senior leadership without direct authority.
  • Ability to work effectively in an evolving organization where category scope, processes, data, and governance are still being developed.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI, SAP, or similar ERP and analytics platforms is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to Flex sites and supplier locations as business needs require.
