Global Senior Sourcing Manager - HVAC
Job Summary
The Global Senior Sourcing Manager - HVAC will be responsible for leading category level sourcing strategy development and execution; developing and managing a global supply base to meet Ferguson business growth needs.
Location: This role is approved to be Remote anywhere in the US!
The Global Senior Sourcing Manager- HVAC will be leading HVAC category level global supply base development and expansion to meet Ferguson product development needs, assist in supplier diversification, Business Unit integration, leading new supplier onboarding, driving global suppliers' overall performance management, optimizing Business Unit product total landing cost, identifying and developing new materials and technologies, ensuring supply capacity, managing consistency of supply, and improving overall quality compliance.
This position will work closely with Regional General Managers, sourcing managers, and sourcing specialists globally. This Global Sourcing Manager will also collaborate and partner with cross functional teams in Category Management, Product Development, Quality, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance & Accounting, Procurement, HR and Legal to meet and exceed customer groups' expectations.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead execution of global sourcing and supplier development strategic initiatives to support Ferguson global sourcing needs.
  • Understand and define key product cost structure, identify cost savings opportunities, and lead cost optimization project execution.
  • Lead category related supplier exploration, qualification and onboarding.
  • Lead contract negotiation and execution.
  • Lead implementation of all global related new and existing product development and sourcing projects and ensure successful execution of product development pipeline.
  • Identify, lead, and coordinate supplier diversification efforts in key categories.
  • Support Business Unit integration related complex projects and collaborate closely with Business Unit functional teams to ensure smooth implementation of the integration plan.
  • Establish and build long-term relationships with new and existing suppliers.
  • Support global sourcing and business operational process development and optimization.
  • Lead supplier scorecard evaluation and coordinate supplier business reviews.
  • Manage category related supplier performance and facilitate supplier related issue/problem resolution.
  • Ensure continuity of supply for key categories and collaborate closely with the procurement team and global supply chain team to meet inventory optimization goals.
  • Provide inputs into the annual budget and work within the guidelines of the approved budget throughout the fiscal year.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred and /or equivalent experience will be considered.
  • A minimum of 5 years of sourcing, product development, design/engineering, material and commodity management, supply chain related experience is preferred. HVAC equipment and accessories a huge plus.
  • CPSM Certification is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills and excellent customer service orientated.
  • Possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess financial proficiency coupled with technical mindset.
  • Strong public speaking skills with the ability to develop and deliver effective presentations to large groups.
  • Ability to develop and grow relationships with external suppliers, internal peers, and other functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of category related products, manufacturing methods, and applications.
  • Be able to travel in Global regions including but not limited to North America, Central and South America, China, SE Asia, and India (10 - 15%).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (MS 0365, Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Power BI)
  • Strong knowledge of the international manufacturing landscape, with understanding of countries strength and weakness in applicable product categories.
  • The ideal candidate will have knowledge in sustainability. Awareness of sustainable sourcing practices and regulations, particularly as they relate to HVAC products.
  • Experience with various industry standards, approvals, and certification processes

Pay Range:
Actual pay rate may vary depending upon location. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate's qualifications and prior experience.
$9,900.00 - $16,133.70
Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
