Job description

As an Executive Director in Commodity Finance Structuring, you will originate and execute tailored transactions across monetization of future commodity production (including prepayments and royalty streams), inventory and reserve financing, refinery intermediation, project-related financings, structured derivative transactions, and structured bond solutions with integrated commodity price risk management. You will partner closely with sales, trading, and banking teams to bring scalable structuring capabilities to clients across North America and Latin America.

Job responsibilities
  • Lead structuring and execution of commodity-linked financings and hedging solutions across NAMR and Latin America, partnering with sales, trading, and banking teams
  • Drive NAMR power structuring, including power capacity prepayments, municipal power prepayments, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) financing, including the structuring and technology build needed to scale these products
  • Develop innovative structures for emerging power asset classes (e.g., BESS and data center / GPU / hyperscaler power finance), including bespoke financings and structured hedging solutions tied to power needs
  • Structure and deliver ABS-related hedging and bridge financing solutions
  • Execute metals financing transactions across base and precious metals (e.g., copper prepayments, gold margin loans, and SRI-related transactions)
  • Advance Latin America strategy (client identification, product fit assessment, and legal/regulatory evaluation across priority jurisdictions, particularly in metals)
  • Interface with control functions to obtain approvals, anticipate commodity-specific risks, and lead negotiation, documentation, and internal execution processes
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • 15+ years of commodities structuring experience in client-facing roles
  • Deep expertise in commodity-linked financing structures (including prepayments, intermediation, and structured derivatives) and physical commodities
  • Demonstrated ability to lead negotiations, structure terms, and drive end-to-end execution with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Experience navigating product approval processes and working effectively with internal control and risk partners
  • Strong financial modeling skills, including ROE analysis and scenario/credit analysis
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information concisely to senior audiences
  • Strong ownership mindset; comfort with ambiguity and ability to operate independently in a lean, fast-paced environment
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience with BESS, renewable energy finance, and/or data center / hyperscaler power structures
  • Familiarity with structured hedging solutions for power-intensive end users
  • Familiarity with risk syndication structures (e.g., RPAs, CDS, NPI) and third-party financing mechanisms
  • Experience driving product buildouts and evaluating legal/regulatory considerations across target jurisdictions
