Job Title: Site Manager


Job description: As the Site Manager you will lead the installation, commissioning, production ramp-up, and final closure of company's automation equipment at customer locations. The role will serve as the primary point of contact between the customer and company during site execution. The Site Manager will be responsible for coordinating site resources, managing open issues, and achieving customer acceptance. The ideal candidate will combine strong site-management and technical skills with excellent customer relationship, communication, and leadership capabilities.


Job responsibilities:


Site Installation and Commissioning


Lead the installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of company equipment at customer facilities.

• Develop and manage site execution plans in alignment with project schedules and contractual milestones.

• Coordinate with company's engineers, technicians, subcontractors, suppliers, and customer teams.

• Ensure the availability of manpower, tools, materials, drawings, documentation, and site infrastructure.

• Monitor site progress and proactively address technical issues, delays, resource constraints, and project risks.

• Ensure all activities comply with customer requirements, approved specifications, quality standards, and safety procedures, Production Ramp-Up.

• Lead production ramp-up support and ensure equipment achieves agreed cycle time, quality, throughput, reliability, and availability targets.

• Coordinate troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, controls, software, and process-related issues.

• Work with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and project-management teams to implement corrective actions.

• Prioritize and escalate issues affecting customer production or project milestones.

• Provide regular progress reports to the customer and company's management. Customer and Open-Issue Management

• Act as the single point of contact for the customer during installation, commissioning, ramp-up, and project closure.

• Maintain an accurate and mutually agreed open-issue list between the customer and company.

• Clearly document each issue's description, ownership, priority, responsible person, target date, status, and closure evidence.

• Ensure proper accountability for issues belonging to the company, the customer, suppliers, or other stakeholders.

• Conduct regular issue-review meetings and escalate overdue or critical items.

• Communicate project status, risks, recovery plans, and support requirements clearly and professionally.

• Build long-term trust and relationships with customer representatives at operational and leadership levels.

• Represent company professionally and strengthen the company's brand image through ownership, responsiveness, and reliable execution, Site Leadership, Safety, and Quality.

• Lead, coordinate, and motivate site engineers, technicians, supervisors, and subcontractors.

• Assign responsibilities based on skills, project priorities, and site requirements.

• Monitor site productivity, performance, discipline, attendance, and professional conduct.

• Ensure compliance with the company and customer health, safety, environmental, quality, and security requirements.

• Maintain accurate site reports, manpower records, issue logs, safety documentation, and customer approvals.

• Report safety incidents, quality concerns, contractual deviations, and major project risks promptly.


Minimum Requirements:


• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Minimum of three years of site-management experience in industrial automation, automotive manufacturing, robotics, assembly systems, material handling, conveyors, special-purpose machines, or a similar industry.

• Experience managing equipment installation, commissioning, production ramp-up, customer acceptance, and project closure.

• Experience working with automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, or large manufacturing customers is preferred.

• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, controls, automation, and production-system integration.

• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.

• Understanding of project schedules, contractual milestones, scope management, issue tracking, customer acceptance, and payment milestones.

• Strong customer-management and relationship-building skills.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution abilities.

• Strong ownership, accountability, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to remain composed and effective during production pressures and customer escalations.
