What You'll Do:
  • Provide hands-on technical support, managing networks, software, hardware, and system configurations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Guide and educate end-users on effective hardware and software use to boost productivity.
  • Perform software installations, system upgrades, and maintain operating systems and software packages.
  • Monitor system performance, making adjustments to ensure optimal operation.
  • Implement standard solutions to safeguard data integrity and maintain the reliability of workstations and servers.
  • Stay on top of data/media recoverability by managing regular backups and database archives.
  • Conduct system audits to ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate on enhancing performance and security, ensuring that all computers meet the needs of users.
  • Assist with system evaluations and contribute to long-term planning strategies.
  • May work with administrative programming languages to optimize internal processes.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies to keep systems modern and efficient.
  • Participate in exciting and dynamic special projects!

What We're Looking For:
  • Experience: 5+ years in systems administration and analysis.
  • Skills & Knowledge:
    • Active Directory Account Management.
    • Expertise in Windows Server 2012/2016 and Windows 10/11 troubleshooting.
    • Familiarity with key applications like Outlook, Excel, Word, JAVA, and Internet Explorer.
    • Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) experience is a plus.
    • MS Exchange knowledge is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience (including military or technical training).
  • Certifications: Must possess an appropriate and current DoD Information Assurance (IA) Certification to be considered for employment; either valid CompTIA Security+ CE, Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) -Security. CompTIA Security+ CE Certification is the preferred certification.
