Job description

A Level 3 Security Officer is responsible for protecting a person, organization, or asset in the case of an incident. Their duties include patrolling, supervising, standing guard and being readily available for dispatch, evicting trespassers, and writing reports detailing any occurrences during their shift and has a license to be armed. Responsible for assisting Level 1 and 2 officers as requested, performing patrols, dispatch, standing guard and other supervisor responsibilities.
Advance Onsite Protection Security Level 3 Qualifications: To qualify as an AOP Security Level 3 Security Officer, candidates must have graduated from a recognized law enforcement academy and possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a law enforcement agency. Additionally, candidates must successfully pass a thorough FBI background check. The New Mexico Boards and Commissions' three levels of training are mandatory, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of security protocols. A successful completion of a psychological test is also required to assess the candidate's mental and emotional readiness for the responsibilities associated with the role. These stringent criteria aim to guarantee a high level of competence, experience, and reliability in individuals holding the position of a Level 3 Security Officer.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
  • Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
  • Warn violators of premises rules and regulations
  • Expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
  • Report any facility issues, such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes
  • Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations
  • Patrolling, dispatch and or Standing Guard on premises using work patrol vehicles as required
  • Some supervision of Level 1 and 2 Guards as required/requested
