ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates commercial real estate closings on single and multiple property deals.
  • Reviews/Evaluates commercial title search documentation, and research and assist resolving all title issues and discrepancies on record based on published underwriting standards, bulletins and guidelines as requested by client or supervisor.
  • Prepares and reviews title commitment(s)/pro forma(s), lender closing instructions and contracts to ensure all requirements of the transaction are met.
  • Prepares commercial Settlement Statements and/or Closing Disclosures and other closing documents as needed to create a complete signing package to be sent out for execution. Assist in coordinating signings with parties that may require assistance in both attorney and non-attorney states.
  • Provides quality customer service, including interacting with customers, real estate agents and attorneys.
  • Ensures all disbursement related items are in TPS with appropriate document types in a timely fashion.
  • Works with Disbursement team to disburse transactions in accordance with parties’ instructions and applicable law.
  • Works with Recording team to ensure recording documents are properly completed and attached to the file along with any recording order as required by the closing instructions. Promptly works with stakeholders on obtaining corrections as needed.
  • Monitors workflow queues and department reports to ensure timely processing of the file through disbursement and follow ups for post-closing accounting issues.
  • Works collaboratively with all stakeholders including but not limited to internal operations teams, client, outside counsel, and title agent partners.
  • Successfully meets or exceeds all Company established performance/production metrics as set forth by the Senior Management Team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years’ experience in commercial title and closing.
  • National purchase and refinance experience preferred.
  • Experience utilizing ResWare or similar software preferred.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely present issues, ideas and recommendations in verbal, written and presentation formats.
  • Highly motivated, inquisitive, self-started with the ability to multi-task and effectively manage priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, ability to high volume and the capacity to work under pressure and tight deadlines.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate orally. The employee uses hands and fingers to type, handle, and reach. Operating office machinery such as a computer, phone, copier, printer, etc., is necessary in the commission of daily duties. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
