Job Description Business Development Manager - Government Contracts Location: Knoxville, TN (Onsite) | Full-Time | Competitive pay plus monthly commission Signature Labor Services is seeking a talented Government Contracting (GovCon) Proposal Writer with strong technical writing skills to join our Business Development team. This position combines expertise in federal contracting processes, proposal strategy, and technical documentation to develop compelling proposals that win government contracts. You will also be required to manage the Account from the staffing perspective.

Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in government contracting proposal development 3+ years of technical writing experience (proposals, technical documentation, or equivalent) 2+ years previous Sales experience a plus Demonstrated expertise with federal procurement processes (FAR, DFARS, specific agency requirements) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in proposal management tools and Microsoft Office Suite Strong organizational and project management abilities Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines with multiple proposals in flight Proposal Development: RFP analysis, win strategy development, proposal planning, stakeholder coordination Technical Writing: Clear and concise writing, complex topic translation, compliance documentation Responsibilities: This position combines expertise in federal contracting processes, proposal strategy, and technical documentation to develop compelling proposals that win government contracts Proposal Development & Strategy Lead the planning, organization, and execution of government proposals from initial opportunity assessment through submission Analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and other solicitation documents to develop win strategies Develop and maintain compliance matrices that map all solicitation requirements to proposal sections and ensure nothing is missed Create proposal outlines and section-level strategies Why Join Us: Be a core part of our company's growth strategy Make an immediate impact in a role with visibility and responsibility Supportive, fast-paced, and mission-driven work culture How to Apply: Send your resume to tom@signaturelabor.com and/or apply directly and our team will follow up with you directly if qualified.
