Job description

Job Title: Production Associate $22/hr (1st and 3rd shift)

Job Description

The Production Associate operates industrial sewing and related machinery on the production floor to cut tarps to size, perform quality checks, and support multiple production lines. This role focuses on completing all tasks safely and efficiently while maintaining a clean, organized work area and contributing to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of tasks on the production floor as required to support ongoing manufacturing operations.
  • Operate industrial sewing equipment and machinery to cut tarps to the appropriate size and specifications.
  • Set up machinery before production runs and make necessary adjustments or changeovers between runs.
  • Perform thorough quality checks on finished colors and tarps, inspecting color, size, measurements, and any defects.
  • Operate and oversee multiple production lines as needed to meet production goals.
  • Use hand and power tools, including tape measures, in daily tasks such as cutting, assembly, and packaging.
  • Perform packaging, packing, assembly, and inspection tasks to ensure products are prepared correctly for shipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift.
  • Follow all safety procedures and participate in ongoing safety practices while working on the production floor.
  • Multi-task effectively and work independently to complete assigned duties within expected timeframes.
  • Use basic computer skills to perform simple tasks related to production, tracking, or documentation.

Essential Skills

  • Comfort working on feet in a fast-paced production or general labor environment.
  • Ability to operate industrial sewing equipment and basic production machinery.
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately and perform basic shop math.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Capability to perform packaging, assembly, inspection, and packing tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience using construction tools, power tools, and hand tools is advantageous.
  • Experience operating forklifts or CNC equipment is a plus.
  • Comfort working in a non climate-controlled facility.
  • Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift as required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
