Job description

Job Summary:

The Integrated Fire and Security Solutions Coral Springs, FL branch is seeking experienced Senior Security & Alarm Serviceย Technicians to join our team! This role focuses on the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of advanced security systems - including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection (IDS), with additional exposure to fire alarm systems. The ideal candidate will have a heavy security background, proven experience in installations, and familiarity with fire alarm technologies.ย 

Service area is primarily the Miami-Dade region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute installation of security systems (CCTV, access control, IDS) and assist with fire alarm systems as needed.
  • Interpret blueprints and update as-built documentation accurately.
  • Ensure all equipment and materials are staged and ready for installation.
  • Identify and resolve field modifications or scope gaps to maintain project integrity.
  • Verify compliance with NEC, NFPA, and local codes for security and fire systems.
  • Conduct on-site inspections to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices through training and certifications.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal teams, contractors, and clients for smooth project execution.
  • Mentor junior technicians and provide technical guidance on complex installations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in the low-voltage industry, with a strong focus on security systems (CCTV, access control, IDS).
  • Experience programming and configuring access control systems required.
  • Fire alarm experience is a plus.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical certifications preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of security and fire system codes and standards.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Valid Florida Fire Alarm License (FASA/BASA) or ability to obtain it.
  • Understanding of NEC and NFPA requirements.
  • Proficiency with technology tools and system programming.
  • Ability to meet company driving eligibility requirements, including holding a valid driver's license and maintaining an acceptable motor vehicle record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS degree or Technical School Certification in electronics, security systems, or related field.
  • Manufacturer certifications for major security systems.
  • NICET certification for fire alarm systems.
