Unit Information:

Number of Beds: 9 Preop beds, 5 Phase 2 recovery beds

Number of Staff: 8 full time RNs (2 of those are open positions), 2 part time RNs, 4 PRN RNs and 1 unit HUC

Type of staff: Day Shift Same as above Night Shift - 0 Patient Ratios 1:3

Type of equipment: Pyxis, GE MACVU EKG machine, Doppler, patient scale, bladder scanner EMR - Meditech

Typical procedures performed on unit(s): Phase 2 recoveries of Urology, GYN and other SDS patients Pre-op Surgery, Endo, Cath lab, EP, CT patients, outpatient infusions, outpatient EKGs, blocks, blood transfusions

Best personality Fit: Patient experience is a priority Communication with staff and providers

Unit Guidelines/Policies: On call - two 10 hour weekend shifts every 8-9 weekends and 30 minute response time while on call
