Job description

ER&M currently has limited openings for both Landscape Crew Leader and Landscape Foreman to assist us with the installation of plants on new commercial construction and wetland/stream restoration projects throughout the Maryland, DC and NVA areas. As a Landscape Crew Member/Driver with ER&M, you will perform a wide variety of tasks, from craning large trees onto a green roof to installing wetland pugs with help of a john boat. The starting pay rates for these positions range from $25-$32.00 per hour. Every day here at ER&M presents a different challenge and a lasting education. Come join our team!

Additional tasks of the Landscaping Crew Leader/Foreman include:

Installation of new plants, lawns and wildflower meadows

Installation of soil mixes, decorative gravels and site amenities

Maintain our installed projects

Operate vehicles, trailers and power equipment such as skid steers, tillers, sod cutters and small power equipment

Maintain a safe work environment on all projects

Job Requirements

As a Landscaping Crew Leader/Foreman with ER&M you must have landscaping experience, a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Work generally starts at 6:30am at our shop in Cockeysville, MD and ends around 5:00pm or when the job is done. Occasionally we contract for projects outside our normal work zone that require us to stay out of town. This means that you may be called on to travel to a jobsite Monday morning, stay in a hotel during the week and return home on a Friday. The hotel and food costs would be provided by ER&M. We are always home for the weekends.

ER&M completes a large number of local/federal government contracts that require us to pay certified wages to our crew members from $25.00 per hour up to as much as $80.00 per hour depending on the job and its location. When averaged out over the year and taking into consideration the availability of overtime pay our crew members could making well above our starting rates of $25-$32.00 per hour.
